It Happens to Everybody

These sharp little guys are what cut the beans off so they can be processed through the combine, so....

...when these little guys break, it makes it really hard to combine.

Luckily they are easily repaired, so...

...we can get back to doin' what needs to be done.

(oh don't mind the spot on the lower left....that's what happens when its sprinkling and you get a droplet on your lens)

Since we didn't get much rain we will be going hard at it again tomorrow.

Laters All,

  1. I just love how you document real farm life. You're an artist with the camera. :)

  2. Those sprinkles got to us last night, but we finished cotton pickin' in a lightning storm/small monsoon. Yay!

  3. Stay ahead of that rain! We didn't manage to on Saturday. Soaking wet in the end. Mother nature won.

  4. Just came across your blog and I love it. I lived in Northern Missouri as a young child with my aunt and uncle who farmed. I miss those soybean and corn fields. Your photos are amazing and bring back a lot of great memories.

  5. Very informative post Janet! I usually get yelled at, "Put that camera down and come help me." :)
